Wednesday is Accessory Day! Sweet Handbags

Today I wanted to bring to your attention some really cute handbags, from some fellow Etsians!

The Navy and Turquoise reversible market day tote, by pouch is a great bag to carry all of your shopping and more in! Even better, being reversible, it is two styles in one!

The Plum handbag with quilted top, by mehran, is a nice elegant carry-all; one that could carry your shopping, but also double as a "going out" bag. Love the quilting!

The Plonkas handbag by dalinda is so cute! I love the pleating and the button. I could imagine this one swung over my shoulder, just nicely!

Wednesday is Accessory Day! Cocktail Rings

I love a statement piece of jewellery. Since my designs are a statement in themselves, and I often wear my designs, I usually wear less jewellery. However, there is always room in my outfit for a good cocktail ring or a beautiful brooch!

I have included some of my favourite cocktail rings, which are currently being sold on Etsy. All three are below $100 USD.

I admire each of these rings, as they have been made from something that you don't find many places! They are very unique in their own way!

Besides my engagement and wedding rings, I only own one other ring, which is this Cocktail ring, pictured in the above and below photo. I bought it from a local market, and I love it! I wear it constantly.

There are many other cocktail rings to choose from on Etsy. Take a look!

Wednesday is Accessory Day! Amazing Clutch Bags

I took a little time out yesterday to read the great online magazine, NEET.

I discovered a fantastic accessories label, tivi. They make amazing bags out of wood, leather and stainless steel. My favourite bag was the Walnut Aloe Sari Clutch Bag. Simply stunning!

I have had my eye on a few more clutches for a while.... some of my favourites are below.

Wednesday is Accessory Day! Stunning Brooches

Zipper Pin white/black by Kate Cusack

I love a good brooch! If you have seen my latest collection of designs, featured on the Penelope Red website, you will notice brooches featured there....

A good brooch can dress up any outfit, and make an otherwise normal top, look dramatic, or quirky or stand out from the rest.

Aren't these zipper pins so interesting and gorgeous?! So much creativity!

This butterfly brooch is simply stunning! So delicate!

Peacocks have always been a fascination of mine! I have always loved them, so this brooch has naturally drawn my attention.

Besides Etsy, another great way to find brooches is to visit your local markets.

I bought the above brooch from Angus and Celeste at a local market, and it has become one of my favourites!

I also frequently visit the local school car boot sales. It is a fun way to get out of the house, enjoy the sunshine, and maybe grab a bargain! I bought the next two brooches from the local car boot sale.

It is time to start wearing those brooches more often- keep them in a convinient place, so when you get ready to go out, you don't have to go searching for them. It is just another way to add a little bit of glamour to your everyday!
