More Customer Photos!

A friend, who happens to be one of my best customers, had a short break in Port Macquarie over the Easter long weekend. She took her Penelope Red wardrobe with her, and was very thoughtful to have taken some photos to share with me and the world!

Above, Leanne (RHS) is wearing the Paris Cowl Neck Top, in Red and Black.

Leanne is wearing in the photo above, the Kir Royale Kimono and the Olive Hathor Pants- soon to be added to my etsy shop online, and the bigcartel shop.

Next, Leanne is wearing the Black Gold Kimono, with the White Russian Mini Skirt.

The last photo, Leanne is wearing the Black and White Bow Tie Blouse. I only made 4 copies of this top, and they are all gone! The Black Chiffon Bow Tie Top is similar and is available in the Penelope Red Australian Dollar online shop, on bigcartel.

It is such a pleasure to see my customers enjoying their Penelope Red purchases- I really don't like the idea of my designs collecting dust in the wardrobe of my customers! If you have previously bought a Penelope Red design, and have a photo of you enjoying life in it and would like to share it, please email me at designer@penelopered.com.au

Just for fun: yesterday's outfit!

After spending the morning taking loads of photos for the online shops of my designs, I had organised to meet a friend at a local sweets shop (my other weakness! 1st: fabric. 2nd: sweets!).

I really liked this outfit... this is about as casual as I like to go. If it isn't like this, then I am a complete train wreck in track suit pants and whatever top that isn't in the wash.

So, I liked this outfit so much that I wanted to share it with you.

1. Felt Cloche Hat: Forever New

2. Cream Bow Tie Blouse: Penelope Red

3. Olive Hathor Pencil Pants w high waist: Penelope Red- I will be adding these to the shop online soon!

4. Black Shoes: Nine West

5. Black Leather Bag: Oroton

I found these shoes in Nine West about a month ago. I wear them constantly now since they are so comfortable and easy to walk in.

The Oroton bag I fell in love with as soon as I saw it. I had always wanted a nice black bag that could hold a lot, but also a very classic style. I am not a fan of those big bunchy bags that resemble bowling bags. Smart, classic and sophisticated is my style, and therefore my bag!

When I met my friend, she asked me, "Penny, do you ever wear anything that isn't Penelope Red... besides jeans?", and I could confidently reply, "No!". I guess my designs for Penelope Red really is what I would like to wear- I design it because I love it myself.

So, I may start adding a few more outfits to this space!

Penelope Red featured in Peppermint Magazine!

I am very excited to announce that two Penelope Red designs have been featured in the Peppermint Magazine!!! The items featured were the Venus Floral Bolero and the Cream Bow Tie Blouse, both available in the Penelope Red etsy shop.

Peppermint Magazine is a quarterly fashion magazine, which focuses on the "green" and eco side of things. I told them about my "Venus, Penelope and Jane Collection", and how a lot of the pieces had been designed from vintage and recycled pieces of fabric (as in fabrics that I salvaged from my Aunt, Mum, their friends, from other people who once sold at the markets, from antique and 2nd hand stores, etc)- all helping to reduce the landfill that is forever rising!

Pictured above is the Venus Floral Bolero and the Cream Bow Tie Blouse is below.
